About this course
Support wanted food-related routines and exploration while keeping choice and professional scope visible.
Designed for recreational therapists and community-based support professionals. Adapt examples to your actual role, preparation, and setting.
What you will learn
- Begin with the person’s direction and describe the current food experience without inventing a diagnosis.
- Distinguish community support from individualized nutrition, swallowing, or other clinical care.
- Design a transparent, optional comparison or routine that preserves the person’s ability to choose or decline.
Put the learning to work
Use realistic grocery and food-exploration examples to plan one accessible support and a useful next step.
Course format and time
7 short captioned video lessons, complementary reading, on-page practice, a ten-question knowledge check, and an optional course evaluation. Plan approximately 60–75 minutes for the full learning experience, including practice and the quiz. This is a planning estimate; completion time varies.
All practice is on the lesson pages. You may keep your own notes using fictional or general examples without identifying client information.
