About this course
Connect a wanted activity with its actual movement demands and the person’s chosen purpose.
Designed for recreational therapists and community-based support professionals. Adapt examples to your actual role, preparation, and setting.
What you will learn
- Distinguish physical activity from exercise and consider relative intensity.
- Analyze movement pattern, active time, coordination, sensory demands, environment, and support.
- Choose a fitting adaptation and recognize when a question needs another qualified professional.
Put the learning to work
Use the Movement Activity Analysis to compare a community activity with a person-defined movement purpose.
Course format and time
8 short captioned video lessons, complementary reading, on-page practice, a ten-question knowledge check, and an optional course evaluation. Plan about 60 minutes for the full learning experience, including practice and the quiz. This is a planning estimate; completion time varies.
All practice is on the lesson pages. You may keep your own notes using fictional or general examples without identifying client information.
